Introductory Profile: About Yong Ding

I interviewed Yong Ding, who is my father. The interview was quite informal, taking place in the living room. He is five feet eleven inches tall, wears glasses, has dark hair and dark eyes. My father answered every one of my questions energetically with enthusiasm and willingness. He attended a distinguished, respected, and esteemed university in China, and later moved to the United States, and is now a mechanical engineer.

The main answer I was seeking out was poverty then versus poverty now, and the different forms that have arisen, but the overall interview was about poverty in general, and the most important thing one needs to stay out of it. Having the necessities (money, clothes, food, etc.) to support yourself and your family is one of the most important things to have in life, and this interview reflects that. I hope you will find the interview as interesting as I did.
