Introductory Profile: About Charlie Barnard

Charlie Barnard is my grandfather, and was born and raised in Hereford, a small town near the panhandle of Texas. After serving in the Marines for 6 years, Charlie went to Texas Tech to major in Computer Science. He now resides in Austin Texas, along with his wife, three children, and five grandchildren. When Charlie is not spending time with his family, you can find him at the gym, practicing drums, or making pancakes.

Charlie was in service during the the Vietnam War. It was here that he learned how to work and program computers. Considering that computers had not yet become a necessity to society, these skills put my grandfather ahead of his time. During this interview, we will be discussing Charlies overall experience with technology, look closer at how computers have changed over the years, and talk about how Technology is affecting modern society.
