Public Service and Volunteerism:
As interviewed by SJ Naftel, March 20, 2018
"We were in The White House and spent an entire day looking for the spot where I would take his pictures, and two days later I met with the president for about an hour and a half."
Introductory Profile: About Mark Carder
Mark Carder, at one point painted George W. Bush. Andthis was becoming more normal for him, as he painted H.W. Bush too. I know this because Mark is my stepdad. He started with humble beginnings at a young age, but soon painted more and more powerful people. He got to meet Bush twice, and even went to the White House Christmas party. He also met Secretary Baker and once saw Hillary Clinton. In his interview, my stepdad often stated how quick the process was, and how hospitible President Bush was. This is his story.
