Introductory Profile: About Meirun Lu

My father, Meirun Lu, is a Chinese immigrant. Born when China was controlled by the Communist party, he endured difficult times which strengthened his personality and fueled his thirst and appreciation for knowledge and good opportunities. He has always worked in the computer and electronics industry and strongly believes it will be the future of humanity.

During this interview, we discussed educational opportunities now and during his childhood. We talk about the importance of education and how shifting cultures in China is changing the world, in both positive and negative ways. We also conversed about the importance of culture, family, tradition, and how they impacted Chinaís way of life. We didnít discuss the complex politics of Communism, but we dived deeper below the surface into how Communism affected the people on a personal level and molded each person into something that can both be seen as positive as well as negative.
