Dan Levine

As Interviewed by Marianna P, March 17, 2019
"Think about your own experience living in the house you live in. You always know that you’re going to be able to come home to the same house every night. Stability, for adults and kids. Just to have a safe place that they know is home."

Introductory Profile: About Dan Levine

Dan Levine is a family friend and my mom’s old co-worker at Self-Help (Where he still works). Dan grew up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina where he still lives, He is 41 years old, and he has a wife and two girls. He’s funny, he works hard, and he loves BBQ. He has a masters degree in city and regional planning from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill.

In the interview we discussed his work at Self-Help. The interview was in a question and answer format, but it wasn’t too formal. Dan talked about how his job helps minorities and low income citizens with capital, but he specifically works on helping them find affordable housing. The interview was very interesting and I learned a lot from his experience working at Self Help.
