Monica C: In Her Own Words

In hindsight, [what] kind of sticks in my mind is how discrimination is universal. And it doesnít matter whether you are in Korea, or in Paraguay, or in the US, discrimination is everywhere. Whether itís gender-based, whether itís race-based, whether itís age-based. Any kind of identifying feature or characteristic. Whether itís abilities, disabilities, whether itís size, but itís prevalent. And that is sad.

Yeah, and not just disappointing, but I think itís just painful when you really think about how much humans, in general, are so bent on excluding versus including based on whatever they decide is the favored characteristic. And I think that's-thatís very eye opening but itís also very disconcerting to me.
