As Interviewed by Lakshmi Surada, March 16, 2017
"In my opinion, the biggest problem for gender inequality is poverty and lack of education. When most of us will be educated, and know our rights well, there will be one day where we don't have a word called discrimination."

Introductory Profile: About Jyothi Sripada

My interviewee is Jyothi Sripada. She was born and raised in Southern India in a state called Andhra Pradesh. She moved to US once she was married. She has one child and lives in Austin. She is currently working as a software testing engineer, and she is still very passionate about her hometown and India. She shared her experiences growing up and what she thinks has changed in India when she visits.

Our interview was very casual and she openly told me about all her experiences. During the interview we ran into a lot of common and rare facts , which led to interesting stories. It was a great experience for both of us. I was very glad to interview Jyothi and listen to all the amazing things she had to say!
